To all female students in CS and IT
We offer student travel scholarships to attend the third Computing Women
Congress (CWC) in Hamilton in February. You have the opportunity to
meet, discuss and debate with other women in the your field while
attending some of our more than 15 excellent courses during three days.
Details about the scholarship can be found at
www.cwc.org.nz/participate/travel-scholarships.html
If you haven’t already booked your place, it is not too late to join in
– and why not bring along a friend too? But be quick – final deadlines
are approaching fast.
The CWC is a conference for women who study or work
in Information Technology and related fields. It provides an open,
explorative learning and teaching environment, with an emphasis on
hands-on experience. Presentations and workshops will cover a wide range
of topics in computer science and IT, such as Web Technologies, Software
Development, Research and Career Skills, and Interdisciplinary Topics.
A list of presentations and workshops can be found on the website
(www.cwc.org.nz/program/courses.html); the registration form is
available online at www.cwc.org.nz/participate/registration.html.
The CWC 2008 will take place from February 11th to 13th. If you have any
questions about the CWC, please let us know.
We hope to see you at the CWC.
