Fat Bear Week
Herbstzeit, Beerenzeit, Bärenzeit… and so it is in Alaska.
Some of the largest brown bears on Earth make their home at Brooks River in Katmai National Park, Alaska. Brown bears get fat to survive. So, the Fat Bear Week is an annual tournament celebrating their success in preparation for winter hibernation. So, every year, people may vote for a bear (pictures taken from a wildlife camera).
